Our first ever Good Harvest Organic Farm Long table Lunch was a huge success.
Joined by 50 amazing guests we dined on the best Harvest produce kindly prepared by the good folk at Hungry Feel Eating House.
We were tantalised by celebrity chef Chris White with his Quince and pumpkin ratatouille, dazzled by the Harvest Farm silverbeet, rainbow chard + cabbage combined with Mighty Bean tempeh and CoYo yoghurt Tzatziki; and left in awe of the 5 hour salad.
That's right folks we fed a table of 50 people a salad that was less than 5 hours from Harvest.
Big thanks to Sunshine Coast Cider, Martin, Regine and Sarah for helping out with keeping everyone refreshed, be sure to check them out online or at the many local events they attend.
Chris, Larissa, Mava and Amelie from Hungry Feel Eating House, you guys are as always stars and we are grateful for your kindness and support!
Gratitude to the Good Harvest team especially Greg (Harriman Mechanical) for their help, and Kyle Sanderson for his sweet sounds serenading the guets and our veggies.
Also while we were there, we were presented with our Slow Food Noosa Snail of Approval, recognising our commitment to produce food which is good, clean and fair.
- GOOD: seasonal, local, quality, flavoursome and healthy food
- CLEAN: sustainable production with low impact on the environment
- FAIR: accessible prices for consumers and fair conditions and pay for producers and staff/workers
Don't worry if you missed out, Kel and I are committing to at least 3 Long table Lunches each year to celebrate the abundance on the farm. The next one is scheduled for July!
