🥳 Happy New Year! Somehow we find ourselves in 2025... where the heck did the last year go?!
Although it seems that this year has flown by, we're excited about all of the delicious organic goodies summer has in store for you!!
🍉 Fruit
We have some beautiful stone fruit available. Peaches, plums, and nectarines are juicy and delicious. Cherries have already peaked over Christmas, but will still be around for the next couple of weeks.
We've got incredible local mangoes are available. Some certified organic mangoes are coming in from Amamoor just outside of Gympie, and some R2E2 mangoes from Valdora. These spray free R2E2 mangoes were actually hand picked by Ryan! Check that out here.
Watermelons and grapes are abundant and juicy this year. Grapes will be peaking in quality and flavour over the coming weeks, so be sure to add them to your box or pick them up at market.
We've been able to source a small number of juicy certified organic pineapples. Though these are hard to come by, we'll do our best to stock some through the summer months so that you can enjoy this favourite tropical fruit!
🥬 Veggies
Heat loving veggies like zucchini, capsicum, eggplant and cucumber absolutely thrive during the summer months!
This means that the cooler weather vegetables such as broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and cabbage are harder to come by and will be sourced from down south when we can find them.
Everyone loves salad greens when things start heating up, but unfortunately they don't love growing in the hot and humid Queensland summer. This time of year we are sourcing most of our leafy greens and herbs from further south where growing conditions are a bit more mild.
Our standard root veggies such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, beetroot and carrots are all beautiful and available in abundance.
Our favourite locally grown Noosa reds tomatoes are going to be unavailable the next few weeks with a new crop expected to be ready near the end of January. In the meantime we are sourcing the best tomatoes we can find to fill in the gap!
As always, if you have any questions about seasonal availability simply shoot us a message or ask our team at market 😃
