Nourishing Our Community - Near and Far
At Good Harvest, nourishment has always meant more than just delicious, organic food. It’s about taking caring for people, nourishing communities and making a positive impact in the world.
That’s why, for every successful referral, we donate to provide a child in need with food for an entire week through our partnership with Mission Abundance — an Australian-based organisation doing incredible work on the ground in Uganda.
Mission Abundance collaborates closely with KCM and BCM, two community-based charities supporting vulnerable children and families. Their programs focus on food, education, safety, and long-term sustainability.
This partnership is deeply meaningful to us.
Our founders, Mick and Kelly, have personally travelled to Uganda as volunteers with Mission Abundance. Mick worked hands-on with local communities to set up a growing program and share practical farming guidance — empowering families with the knowledge and tools to produce their own nutritious food long after volunteers return home. This work enabled some children to eat greens for the first time in their entire lives!!
